Soundtrack Playlist

After seeing similar activites on other literary communities, I was inspired to make this Oryx and Crake-themed playlist.

The assignment is to imagine that Oryx and Crake is an upcoming movie in need of a fitting soundtrack. The closer you can fit the songs to the plot, the better. Anything with lyrical coincidences, a match to the novel's tone, or words that could describe characters will work wonderfully.

Oryx and Crake - The Original Soundtrack

1. Depeche Mode - A Pain That I'm Used To
2. Imogen Heap - Hide and Seek
3. Ladytron - Destroy Everything You Touch
4. Arcade Fire - Power Out
5. Hanalei - Action Drum
6. Stina Nordenstam - 125
7. Lali Puna - Clear Cut (Bomb the Bass Remix)
8. Tatu - Novaya Model (New Model)
9. Telepopmusik - Genetic World
10. Radiohead - Idioteque
11. The Postal Service - We Will Become Silhouettes
12. Boards of Canada - Turquoise Hexagon Sun
13. Goldfrapp - Utopia
14. Portishead - Mourning Air
15. Supreme Beings of Leisure - Last Girl On Earth
16. Morcheeba - The Antidote

i'd add 'starman' by david bowie to that...or more the cover that dar williams does, because she does this intro thing at the beginning that really makes me think of oryx and crake
I've never heard that song before, thanks for the heads up! :-)

The song it always conjures up for me is Warren Zevon's "Runs Straight Down" with its chanted list of poisonous chemicals and the line "First the water then wild life go"
It's the End of The World As We Know It- REM

:P

Or semi-:P, anyway. I do think it sort of fits Jimmy as well as the general plotline. Perhaps for the credits?
Can you guys please suggest a song with similair themes and ideas as oryx and crake.
